As part of its “Act2gether” program , which aims to strengthen partnerships between children and adults, the Universal Education Foundation (UEF) held an interactive session with members of its Children’s Advisory Group (CAG).
The meeting aimed to promote meaningful child participation by offering a safe space for open conversation and encouraging them to share their thoughts and ideas.
The meeting began with a warm welcome to all participants, including a special introduction for the newly joined member, Shahd Al-Shaf’i, wishing her a meaningful journey full of active engagement and positive contributions.
Key topics covered during the meeting :
· An introduction to the Learning for Well-being Framework, a holistic approach based on four interconnected dimensions—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual emphasizing their importance in supporting learning and enhancing communication.
· Exploring each child’s unique potential, with a focus on honoring inner diversity, encouraging self-expression, and valuing different viewpoints.
· Developing core capacities that nurture connections with oneself, others, and the environment. A spotlight was placed on one of the 9 core capacities ” listening ” , which were practiced through an interactive group activity.
Additionally, the meeting featured a variety of purposeful recreational activities designed to foster a sense of cooperation and belonging, contributing to a supportive environment where children felt encouraged to express themselves and participate actively.
