His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Prof. Amjad Barham, honored the student parliament members who represented the children of Palestine at the recent session of the Arab Parliament for the Child, held in the United Arab Emirates. He was joined by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Student Affairs, Dr. Sadiq Al-Khdour, the Director General of Educational Counseling, Mr. Ahmad Saya’ra, and the Ministry’s Student Parliaments Officer, Ms. Samar Amer.
Also honored were students Mayar and Hala Badr, volunteers in the Children’s Advisory Group of the Universal Education Foundation. (UEF). They took part in the World Summit for Child Protection in Geneva through a video message in English on the child’s right to education.
The event was attended by Dr. Asaad Ramlawi, Executive Director of the Universal Education Foundation, and the Foundation’s staff, as well as the students’ families. The Foundation provided the logistical and financial support for the ceremony.
Prof. Amjad Barham and Dr. Asad Ramlawi expressed their happiness and pride in the students and their achievements, and wished them a bright future.
