Based on the agreement between the Universal Education Foundation (UEF) and SOS Children’s Villages Palestine, the Foundation’s team organized a series of activities for the children at the village in Bethlehem, including the following:
- Recreational activities for 145 children, including drawing and clay modeling that reflected the children’s expressions, along with various physical activities.
- An awareness session for young women and mothers living in the village, focusing on physical and hormonal changes during adolescence, personal hygiene, and preventive measures, including breast self-examination. The session used a special training model, with around 40 participants from the target group.
The Foundation also provided lunch for all attendees and distributed personal hygiene and prevention kits to the girls, along with some symbolic gifts for the children.
The event was carried out with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and community, and another activity was organized jointly with MECI.
